Everywhere I look, there’s daffodils along the road;
Each stop we make and every city we visit, there they are,
Greeting me like an old friend.
They line every sidewalk and fill each window box planter we pass,
Beckoning to me in their shades of lemon and gold, the brightest of the bright.
I see them and smile, and am reminded of you,
And for a moment, I forget everything else, and am simply happy.
